Don't absolutely quote me on this, but here were roughly my Fiendour's stats at level 50 or so:
160HP
118 attack
125 defense
79 special attack
130 special defense
93 speed
So as you can see, beefy HP with good defenses means it probably doesn't die wicked fast.

Really good place to grind both gold and levels is that trail right near the ruined city, with the wild Bearran, Meterosier, Eagawk, Redonkius, Rhinodyo and the like. You'll get something like 150-200 gold per fight without the gold medal, so if you've got it, it shouldn't take long.
Alternatively, if you need to train Polosses in particular, or if he needs train points, go to outside Tangeria Tower. Exp is crap, but the fights are fast and easy and pretty much everything will die in one hit. Will catch it up right quick.
