I'm also working on a bunch of resources for KI, though since I'm getting help from a large community, it might never be completed to my standards.
Aaron's right on the order as far as I read.
Combo assist isn't that bad really, in fact it's actually a good idea as you can still execute normal moves during your combo (you can basically still play the game as you would if you didn't have it on, but with the guarantee that you can hit enders, ultras, drop the combo, etc as yougo). As for breaking, you begin to gradually learn how it works. Aaron, having been trained by me, might be able to give you a better explanation, maybe we could even fight to train you up and getyou used to the game.
On the official Killer Instinct home page, the ree characters that are announced to be in rotation are mostly shown though there have been cases recently where they haven't.
If you want to know, just throw a reply here and if I know, I'll let you know, or ask and let you know when I fin out.
a,s,d are left, right, croutch respectively and w is jump as far as I remember. The rest I think is as follows:
The first in each of these is punch, the second is kick
Keys: strength
U+J: Lights
I+K: mediums
O+L: heavys
p+semicolon: 3punch/3 kick (the equivalent of pressing u i and o or j k and l together as a macro)
Space: pause the game(might be enter, can't remember which).
