You don't have to link the Amazon account to PayPal, you can use the Visa credit card right on Amazon to make the payment. To make a donation, visit the Kickstarter campaign page and click on "Back This Project". You will be asked how much you want to donate, and to select a backer reward. The next step will take you to Amazon's billing page, where you can input your credit card information and confirm the donation.
