As somebody who had sexual urges by the time I was 7, I can confidently claim that these things don't always start when you become a teenager. Sure, when I was seven, I had no desire to sleep with anyone, but that's because I had no idea what my feelings meant. So teaching about this stuff relatively early on is probably a good thing, because unless a child is extremely close to their parents, it's not something they're likely to bring up. I definitely didn't. I also didn't have any kind of Sex Ed until I was about 13-14, and by then I had kind of figured out what was going on.
Also, no, I didn't have access to anything of a sexual nature, online or off.
