After getting a case for my victor, being careful with liquids and buying any spare cables I need from Amazon, I've been absolutely fine for the last three years, doubly so if the repare firm work out.
In fairness I might just have been highly nlucky, since I have heard of people who have used the machines for 10 or so years at a stretch, and certainly the one I bought in 2014 is absolutely fine other than the charging socket, and hopefully we can have that repaired.
Also to be fair to humanware, they did fix the problem caused by the pizza fingers free of charge, though made it clear to me this was a favour following my need to buy a new machine in early 2016 considering that I'd only bought that machine a month before, also I'll say so long as you keep liquids away from them, the victor machines are in general quite robust.
The charging socket only broke after repeated three foot falls onto a concrete floor, (first due to accident, then due to a shelf breakage), usually I carry my victor everywhere and am very glad of it, particularly when waiting for trains or the like.
