I think these are all valid points. I had considered them, except for the interrupt key. I think that any professionally written game would have a way to interrupt the speech as necessary, and I can also picture a scenario where the control key is used to fire a gun so that you end up killing someone every time you want the speech to be quiet, which would be an amusing side effect. But I can definitely see that the need to buy a sapi version of the given voice is a very real concern for some people.
