All right, so basically nothing beats just typing
./aws put mybucket/myfile.zip myfile.zip 'Content-Type: application/zip' 'Cache-Control: max-age=373248000' 'x-amz-acl: public-read', looking up my CloudFront endpoint from a post in these forums, and concatenating the host and file names, to share a simple ZIP file.
