Re: defeating the nightmare
Okay, guys. While lucid dreaming is real (all be it not spiritual and to some extent understood by medical science), and while it may be helpful, nightmares of the frequency described in post 1 are potentially indicative of a serious health problem. As are a lot of the other posts about that here.
I'm not saying speak to a mental health professional as in go talk to someone about the problems with your mom or something. That can be helpful, sure. And I'm not saying that you necessarily need pills or something either. But there's a very long list of things that can cause sleeping problems and if you're having nightmares like this you should perhaps go find out if any of them apply to you from someone qualified to know what that list is.
I promise speaking to a doctor is way less effort than spending weeks to months trying to learn lucid dreaming.
