@517, uh... no. Your wayyyyyy off. In the US there are 819321 cases, 45356 deaths, 83008 recoveries, 690957 active cases, and 14016 critical cases. Of course, by the time you read this these numbers won't be correct.
The problem with this is that the CDC is supposedly inflating the actual death count. Apparently, the CDC's guidelines state that if there is a possibility that the person might've had COVID-19 when they died, the COD should be COVID-19 on the death certificate -- even if they don't know if the person has it or even if there is only a slim chance. So I suspect the death toll is a lot lower than trackers and APIs say, though I don't know by how much. This brings into question the other numbers -- there may be less cases than we believe, for example.
