Re: help with Harry potter TXT files?
First off, what you're doing will decrease the file size by maybe a few KB. Linefeeds do not take much space, at all. To do it, all you need is find and replace. Find a newline, replace it with nothing, replace all occurrences, and there you go, you shaved something like 5KB off your text file. And in doing so, made it look like absolute hell. Anyone sighted looking at the file would have an aneurism.
It's also worth noting that an "enter press" as you call it is a pretty vague way to define new lines, since by default word wrapping would require you to press enter every so often. Frankly, you're better off leaving your text files as they are. Do a say all in your screen reader to read the stories, and that's it.
