Re: The Synthizer Thread

So I am writing an abstraction class for synthizer, think sound pool. I have a question:
I know that buffers should generally be used if possible. My plan is to allow the user to toggle whether they wish to save one. My question is, are generators like this as well? Is it better to reuse a generator rather than create one on the fly? Does it even matter? Same kind of goes for sources, though I can predict an answer to this one: Sources should be sound-specific because one source can only handle one generator at a time (correct me if I'm wrong).
