Because there's no justification for code theft. Like, if I was stolen from, I might be forgiven if say, they were an emaciated homeless person who stole chicken eggs off my farm or something. Not that I have a farm, but you get the idea. Something like that, where the person is just trying to sustain themselves is a little more forgivable than stealing someone else's code.
I absolutely agree, people like this are the problem here.
