I think we can say though, legally he is legitimate, morally so, or from other angles, he isn't, since the popular vote should ultimately determine who wins. But Camlorn, I think what is worrieing is that technically members of the electoral college can cross lines, in other words they could vote against their candidate, and elect someone who lost by a large margin. Sure this hasn't ever happened, but it is allowed and is a possibility.
