@jaybird: I actually used Rackspace, but they're now doing the whole "Managed" nonsense, so Linode may well be my next port of call. So, if you could drop me one of those referrer codes, that'd be nice.
EC2 is still an option, but you need to work around the NAT brain damage, and sending email from your EC2 is harder than it should be. Now that Mailman has DMARC support, though, you can use SES to distribute mailing list postings from your own author domain.
