Re: My immigration. Reasons, plans and thoughts

For what it's worth, they're doing a very typical blind kid thing where you assume that your blindness isn't an obstacle if you just try try try, and, well, sadly that's not the case.  Eventually the world will beat them down, whether they immigrate or not.  I used to be friends with someone who thought they could be a racecar driver.

If you're up for listening, realize now that just because you have a dream your dream isn't going to make it happen, and that you need to start coming to terms some with being blind.  The chances of you winning some voucher to develop apps for the blind are really small, for instance.  If you flail around wanting everything, especially some of the impossible things you want, you're just going to end up waking up one day realizing that yes, you tried very hard, but you have nothing for it.  It's very important to try for reasonable things and not to value trying in itself.

In practice immigration is going to mean a college education or another high-value skill.  Also, it's going to mean learning about the world.  Everyone knows that Canada is not part of the UK for one thing.

I understand where you're coming from, in the sense that where you are now probably sucks a lot.  But daydreaming about this stuff and assuming that it's going to be possible isn't really healthy.  You should find a different source of hope.

Mind you, if you do another one of these threads, I'll probably be on board with everyone else--asking the question over and over isn't going to get you better answers.  Most sighted people can't immigrate, even if you're talking about something like the U.S. to Canada.
