yeah. Exactly that. It's a surge protector but bigger. The really obvious end goes into the wall. The computer power cable goes into the other side. You're done.
The only complicating factor is that sometimes they have non-UPS outlets, but this can be tested by unplugging the UPS from the wall and seeing if your computer turns off or stops charging or whatever.
