You could do the following for the menu callback. In this callback example, I'll call your dynamic_menu object just 'menu'.
int menu_callback (dynamic_menu@ menu, string data)
{
if (key_pressed(KEY_SPACE))
{
// code here...
}
// make the menu continue if the if statement does not return any value.
return 0;
}
then, in the menu code:
menu.set_callback(menu_callback, "");
