No developers don't sit at a computer coding 24-7.
No this is incorrect the later betas are free. I've had them there free but there was never a full version. There will be a full version I'm sure just not right away.
Besides I've seen people ask about the betas before and tward does not want older betas released because he doesn't want to be swamped with bug reports.
