I should point out that the Japanese games are a lot harder for people who use neither NVDA nor a Japanese screen reader to play.
At this point, I'm pretty sure that Dark is going to be disappointed just because of all the hype, once another translation method becomes available.
But at the moment, any games that don't natively include multiple translations, or Apronic Language Files, are effectively only available for NVDA and people who speak the language.
This isn't quite the same as a developer going from available-for-everyone to a single platform. After all, there isn't an easy way for developers to circumvent the language barrier, and no one's doing this deliberately. And yet, NVDA is the only way to play lots of games without a working understanding of the language.
