@Slj, the problem is your missing the essential point here. If the full game were finished Jyro would've sent it to you. A demo, a gameplay video, even to some extent a download system, all are needed for the game and parts of the game, Jyro is telling people what he is working on at the moment, it's not saying "the game is done but have this instead" it's saying "this is what is happening"
As has been said, you can't compare mainstream games much less films to indi games, because real life gets in the way of development, setbacks happen, and there is no big corporate boss or huge plan keeping everything strictly to order.
I will agree that Jyro is perhaps guilty of raising expectations of a release date unduly, and perhaps a better response for him would be just to say "I'm working on the game it'll be out when it's done" however it's not as if expectations are a one way process, and really anyone with the least bit of knolidge of how software develops (or pretty much anything develops outside the time is money corporate sphere), should be used to taking release dates with a pinch of salt by now.
Maybe Jyro shouldn't have given release dates in the first place, but equally maybe people shouldn't be expecting too much here.
