Pat,

There is a free program at:

...that will generate a sine wave at any frequency between 1Hz and
20kHz. My assumption is that any doubling my main speakers do will be
audible to me as I pass through various frequencies between, say 40Hz
and 70Hz, and then I can try to take that into account in attempting to
determine where my mains start to lose it. What do you think? The second
harmonic is twice the frequency, yes?
