I don't know. I was listening to my SB3 yesterday when a song came on
that literally shocked me. I thought someone was in the room with me
playing guitar all of sudden. You know who it was? Pete Townshend, and
it was a song from one of The Who's greatest hits albums. And, what's
more amazing, it was a 128 kbs mp3! I guess a FLAC version may have
sounded even a little better, but it goes to show you that the original
recording and digital transfer is THE most important link in the audio
chain, despite all the protestations here about power supplies and
DAC's (of which, I'm guilty, as well).
