I'm not sure asking for a solution that would suit your grandmother
would result in anything involving a PC-server and one or more SBs...
Perhaps you would like to be more specific?

I use a T-Amp ($30), and plan on using more of them, even though I'd
call myself an "audiophile". Price tag has little to do with
appreciating decent sound!
