I was doing more experimenting this evening. I'm afraid I'm not sure of the frequency of the hum, but it has a transformery sound to it. What I found in this evening's fiddling was that a ferrite choke on the lead between the SB's power supply and the Squeezebox actually got rid of the hum all together.
