I concur with Robin.  I ripped my entire collection with
EAC>MAREO>(FLAC and MP3).  Then I discovered that every tagging change
that I wanted to make required making it to both sets of files.  I
recently switched over to EAC>FLAC and FLAC2MP3 and I find that to be a
much more manageable solution.  I also get the benefit of spending less
time with the initial rip, as it does not have to do the LAME encoding.
When FLAC2MP3 does the LAME encoding I can be away from the computer
(once I have launched the program, of course).
