SB3 handles Apple Lossless just fine. iTunes will also rip to Aiff, Apple's name for WAV. Aiff uses no compression and takes up much HD space. I use iTunes on a dedicated old emac with an external usb drive. Once setup I hardly ever visit the Slim Devices server software as it reads from the iTunes library without any intervention. Keith
