I remember when I first tried the cable I ended up with, plugged it in and thought ahhh at last a cable that I like in every area of sound repro. Then took note of the guy who sent it to me - he advised plug it in, let it play for a few hours then listen - Why I asked - Just to let it settle into the system you have, was the reply.
