I have nothing against ReplayGain, but using it on CD rips will usually
make them even quieter, so in this particular case it will just
exacerbate the difference against Internet Radio.

My suggestion: try adjusting the volume on your amp so that your FLACs
sound as loud as the Internet radio stations. Now which of the two
sounds thin and weedy?
