Okay... Looking to update my system a bit. At this point it is a Squeezebox 3 going into a Musical Fidelity A5 integrated (on its way). I would really like to upgrade the Squeezebox 3, but I am curious...
Squeezebox 3 -> Musical Fidelity X-DAC V8 (Tube/SS) -> MF A5 integrated. or Transporter -> MF A5 integrated. Which is a better setup, and why? Also, if I go with an external DAC, can the SB3 actually push higher res files or not? In other words, is the SB3 DAC the limiting factor, or is it somewhere else?
