You may want to consider running WHS. Your machine needs 512 MB of RAM
to run it but I found it to be very useful for running SS as a headless
setup. I am able to locate it where I don't have to listen to any noise
from it and I have filled it with 7 disks for a total of 1.3 TB. All of
these disks were ones I already had, except a 320GB I bought.

I rip my music on a client machine with my WHS as the repository of the
rip. Works fantastically and the WHS provides backup for all my other
Windows machines.
