As someone who works in the industry, you might want to retract that
wink!  The bond wires are one thing, they're normally pretty stable
(being gold after all), its the electromigration of all the aluminum
interconnect used in the chip itself that will get you!

Funny how people love fancy metalurgy in their cables, but know nothing
about what's used inside their favourite tube, transistor, or IC!
