Mike,

Adding ReplayGain tags to the file is a lossless process. It's only if
you enable ReplayGain processing on playback that the audio becomes "not
lossless".

All it does is to apply a fix level change to the audio as it is
converted to PCM. In most circumstances this is inaudible.
