Mike, just to reinforce this point to make things absolutely clear: you have already explained that you use the Transporter's volume control (saying it typically varies between -4dB and -20dB). Suppose you have a file with a ReplayGain value of -5dB. Listening to it with ReplayGain switched off and the TP volume control set to -15dB is *exactly* the same as listening to it with ReplayGain switched on and the TP volume control set to -10dB.
