Hi Ray,
yes it does make sense to start from a standard SB3; I could give it to
my step daughter if I move to the SB+. It would be two birds with one
stone, so she will stop borrowing CDs from my collection, hehe.
My source ATM is a RA Opus 21 and I must say that I have never heard a
source that come close to it (to my taste).
OTOH the functionality of the SB really attract me. Also I have quite a
few digital files and would like to be able to use them at home, adn the
digital radios is also a plus.
So I can connect the SB to the digital input of my Opus 21 and see if
it sounds close to my Opus 21 standalone. I really doubt, but one never
knows. Maybe the SB+ digital only would work much better as a
transport. Any ideas?
Another possibility would be to use the full SB+ directely connected to
my preamp. If it could get close to my Opus 21 it would be fantastic,
but again I would be incredibly surprised
