Even if your Pioneer has a "analog bypass" or "direct mode" it will have limits. As soon as you apply any kind off processing it will be digitized, nb processing will in most cases include bassmanagment and eq, this will be done digitally, this makes perfect sense with todays digital sources. So go with the digital in coax or toslink what works best in your rig.
IMHO the Analog to digital part in many recievers are a patch so that people can use ye olde VCR & cassete decks & stuff. it would not be an effective use of money for most owners if to much were spent on these things. And then is the problem off levels in to the AD, does it clipp or do i get 10bits of audio. -- Mnyb ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mnyb's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4143 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=41728 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list audiophiles@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
