Try to plug your Denon player through your digital coax input of your Yamaha : this would give you a clear enough idea of how the Duet will sound through it. If you find the result acceptable compared to your Denon CD player's analog outputs, then you can go and get a Duet. If you find that the sound of the Yamaha's dacs are somehow "not as good" as the CD player's one, then you probably need a Transporter. ;)
