I dont have a Touch, I use a WOO Audio GES as the amplifier and a naim DAC fed by a mac mini. Its true, the Stax are very revealing, but the 4040's are also forgiving, so I doubt you will have issues with the touch, as I assume you will be buying an outboard dac later on... the 006t is an OK amp, I assume you are getting a discount or buying used, right?
