Go into the Squeeze control panel, and on the "mysqueezebox.com" tab...see if your "player settings" are in sync.
Select: "Do not keep player settings in sync". Apply the change. IIRC, Squeezecenter will downsample all the material to be compatible with the least capable player on your network. So by adding the Duet, your Transporter is getting cheated.
