If you were to apply all these slight to big improvements and "reversed the effect", how bad wouldn' it actually sound? Just think about the amazing loss of clarity you would have and how much noise you would be introducing when you sum things up... Make sure to top it off with the icing on the cake and remove 6 points of dynamics, smoothness and 3d feeling... You would end up with mono style cassette recorder sound from a broken speaker! I am sure everyone agrees, it does sound awful today, it is so distinctively muddled and noisy that it is virtually useless (without tweaks).
