Not sure Im following Mnyb. As far as the high-end manufacturers go, I think they've been trying to the opposite - to make it easy and userfriendly. Most either support upnp or use their own protocol like SB. The driver stuff is for the DIYers who do *not* want to spend their bucks on the expensive highend plug'n playish systems.
