OK, I think I have partially answered my own question. I replaced the SB Touch with my old SB2 and now all 48kHz material seems to play fine through the Cyrus DAC-X, so that seems to point the blame towards the SB Touch rather than the DAC. I will bring over another SB Touch from my office to verify my findings. Any suggestions?
