Unless I've got the wrong end of the stick, my understanding is that OP
ordered a DAC+ but HiFiBerry sent a DIGI+ instead.
And sending it back to Switzerland for a refund is a lot of hassle.

I agree that this is not really acceptable. Given how cheap this device
is, I agree that the simplest solution would be for HiFiBerry to just
say that the OP can keep the DIGI+ and send him a DAC+. Then he would be
on here telling us how wonderful their customer service is, and that's
got to be worth much more to them than the cost of a DIGI+.

That said, we live in a world where corporations sometimes screw up and
their procedures get in the way of fixing things. If you accept that
this happens rather than fight against it, stress levels are
significantly reduced. Yes, it's wrong that they get away with their
mistake, but life it too short to let it gnaw away at you.

Isn't the simplest thing to do in this case to just stick the unwanted
DIGI+ on eBay and recover some of your loss?

[As an aside, given that the OP is the guy who keeps telling us how
wonderful his hearing is and that cheap gear sounds lousy, it strikes me
that a DIGI+ is exactly the right device for him, so he can hook up his
RPi to a "decent" DAC instead of using the cheap (and therefore rubbish)
DAC+.]
