The ERC low appears to have been designed to trap private pilots into
making VCA's.

CASA wouldn't certify an aircraft with such ergonomic features. Try
arranging all the instruments on the panel at some random angle to the
horizontal, reduce the contrast of the markings so as to be barely visible
and use clours that are almost the same to delineate important information
and you have an idea of the ERC low.
