Stop whining and demand that your PPL gets an ultralight and glider endorsement then you'll only get one set of everything. This seems to work nicely in the US. Or you could just as easily regard the GFA and AUF keeping their own aircraft registers as a waste of resources. Or that these bodies' existence as regulators instead of promotion/education/advocacy bodies is a complete waste of resources given we already have a regulator in Australia. It looks like somebody in the GFA finally decided that the ostrich approach to the NAS wasn't going to work. Or the NASIG found out about the GFA's dereliction of duty. This is simply another illustration of the stupidity of dividing up sport and private aviation.
