There is STILL a Hornet / Mosquito sitting in the back of the hangar at Forbes. It has been there for around 17 years now, if I remember the dates in the DI book. It was flown for a test flight way back then and never flown again. It has been in the one spot so long that the tyre walls on the trailer have started to harden and disintegrate.

Apparently the bloke bought it, but never flew it much. Several attempts over the years to buy it from him were unsuccessful. I think it was a case of too much money and not enough sense. Good luck if you can get hold of this one.

There is also a forgotten Hornet sitting in Peter Holmes Workshop VH-GSF
and to best of my knowledge has not flown for about 6 years. Was first flown
by John Rowe in Worlds in Finland in 1976. It has a good std type trailer
