My apologies for not being able to join you this
Sunday. I was in Melb last weekend and missed the opportunity to visit the
A...G... Museum and to catch up with you again. Was great to fly with you
in the Platypus in April at Benalla and I hope to see you again at the GCV 75th
anniversary in September.
It has been my pleasure to have known you for 47
years of those 80 years by my count and I look forward to a
significant increase in that in the future.

To everyone out there,
Sunday 6 June Alan Patching AM turns 80 years
young. Still happily tugging and glider flying he is currently putting the
finishing touches onto a VP-1 airplane and working at the Australian Gliding
Museum amongst many other things.
We are having a get together at his house on
Sunday and if you wish I can pass on any messages to him.
An indication of his dedication to Australian
Gliding is that the next weekend, Queens Birthday he will be joining me at
Bacchus Marsh as we do a mini airworthiness course with people who are up
grading their qualifications.
Yeah he's my dad and I'm pretty proud of
him.
