I have been working on this the last couple of evenings again.

Good news - should have the chapter finished by the weekend. I will look
at the Pivot Data function as well. So far other than a few small
inconsistencies everything described works as per the text.

Bad news - almost every screen shot (all those showing output from the
DataPilot) will have to be redone. Such a lot of work for quite a small
change - in the DP output the headings (date, time, value etc) all have a
pull down menu to individually select sort order. This shows up as a small
downwards pointing arrow on the right hand side of the cell with the
heading.
