With respect, I get fairly tetchy whe other talk of changes to AltRMI. 
 I'd hope they consult me about the grand design before firing changes 
in.  I do the same for other sub-projects where the other people have 
led or nearly soloed the development.  Though we have a flat structure, 
there are some 'keepers' of various areas who we should and do treat 
with respect.  For example I treaded carefully on 'Enterprise' files 
when I did lots of work on build files for apps/ .

I very strongly think we should hold all Avalon committer is high 
regard, and be seen to do so.  We have jobs in our real lives.  Words 
like the above may hamper someone ability to get a job and I might 
remind you these are hard times - jobs do not grow on trees anymore.
