It woud be three months of downtime whilst we get build scripts working again. We know this because we have undertaken a big CVS change already (excalibur and others)... most here should be scarred by that.
The new CVS would for now keep only the STATUS file, and be where the code gets moved when there have been decisions taken, and only when the build works correctly in local.
We should be using a single CVS module, and I gather it's better to start with it now for the STATUS file.
_One note:_ please let's refrain from writing "-1" just for opinions.
It's an error that I have myself taken and that can lead to confusion.
A -1 is a _veto_, and as such should be used sparingly and only with the precise _veto_ meaning.
It has been suggested that -0.9 be used to express being strongly against, without issuing a formal veto.
