For the record: I didn't hate Craig and I don't think he hates me.
And none of us is "gone".

Both Craig and I ( and many other tomcat people ) were right on a number of 
issues and wrong on others, and the 'unified' tomcat is hopefully the set 
of "right" from all sides. 

Also for the record: it was _never_ about Craig and me. If someone thinks
that, he didn't understand anything. There are a lot of other people
involved, principles, goals, tradeoffs and interests. 

I assume avalon is in a similar situation - and it's better to have 
correct information.

I think the most important thing in tomcat evolution the idea that if 3 
committers are voting +1 and need something, there is enough reason to
not vote -1 ( especially if it can be implemented as an option). And of 
course, the majority vote - without that we wouldn't be where we are.
